Get to know RecycleLife
Since our inception in 2012, Recycle Life has been working with local communities in Northern Virginia to help raise awareness about the importance of organ donation. We have hosted events such as 5K walks and music events at local restaurants and clubs. We want to thank everyone who participated and donated to support our efforts. With the money raised at these events we were able to help families with medical expenses as well as sleeping arrangements near the hospitals where their loved ones were during the transplant process. Perhaps most importantly, we have steadily raised awareness and registered new donors as “Heroes” to those in need.
We can now accept vehicle donations!
RecycleLife has partnered up with a great organization by the name of “CARS”.. As of today, you or anyone you know can donate / “Recycle” your used vehicle for a maximum tax deduction. Just 3 easy steps;
1) Call 855-500-RIDE (7433), or click the button and fill out the form,
2) CARS comes and tows the vehicle free of charge
3) Receive your Tax Write Off

RecycleLife has agreed to help a local couple David & Colleen from Ashburn VA, who have been met with several challenges in the past few months. The first one being that Colleen is in serious kidney failure and is currently stage five kidney failure status. This means she will need to undergo long and very painful kidney dialysis treatments until a kidney (living) donor is found. The good news is that she does not have to wait until a match is found seeing how her boyfriend David has been identified as a perfect match! However, during his evaluation to become a living donor, Dave was told he may need to undergo surgery to treat Ulcerative Colitis (UC), that had not been identified until his evaluation. This is ofcourse a speed bump that is standing in the way of a real time kidney donation to help Colleen live a long and healthy life. Our goal is to help raise funds for Dave to undergo his treatment first in order for him to be able to donate his kidney to the love of his life. Please consider helping and attending our upcoming “Crawl for a Cause” on July 28th in support of Dave and Colleen.

Double Your Donations!! Find out if your employer has a matching gift program and #DoubleYourDonation to Recycle Life.org. Every gift we receive is significant in funding our efforts to provide help for transplant patients. Doubling your gift means we can help more pre and post transplant recipients this holiday season and beyond.
HUGE Thank You to all who came out and participated in our first ever Old Ox Games hosted by the incredible Q Athletics in Ashburn Va. The turn out was well beyond our expectation. Our good friends at #EOTH played a HUGE part at this event and we could not have reached our goal without them, please check out the wonderful work they do within our community: www.eotherize.com. Having said that, we were able to raise well over $700 dollars to go towards our “Help For The Holidays” fund drive this holiday season. We will be making our annual trip to local Transplant house’s from Virginia to Pennsylvania and supporting transplant patients and their loved ones with room and board close to the hospitals, as well as donating supplies to those transplant house’s for the folks staying there during the holidays. If you would like to help support us on this Holiday Fundraiser, please donate via our PayPal link on our home page. Thank you in advance and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
